Hace al menos 5000 a\u00f1os, los chinos descubrir\u00e1n que salar la comida es una gran manera de preservarlas. R\u00e1pidamente, la sal se convirti\u00f3 en un elemento esencial para las sociedades de la \u00e9poca. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Numerosas ciudades fueron construidas alrededor de los sitios de producci\u00f3n de sal y se establecieron rutas comerciales importantes debido al comercio de la sal. Guerras fueron luchadas e imperios fueron creados por personas con f\u00e1cil acceso a este mineral. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Homero se refiri\u00f3 a la sal como sustancia divina, y Plat\u00f3n lo describi\u00f3 como un elemento \u201cimportante para los dioses\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">En el imperio romano, la sal era un commoditie precioso y muchos de los soldados del Imperio eran pagos con la sal (de ah\u00ed el origen del t\u00e9rmino sueldo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-secondary-color has-text-color\"><strong>La sal refinada es una sustancia t\u00f3xica<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">El cloruro s\u00f3dico que contiene la sal refinada es t\u00f3xico. Si a\u00f1adimos a eso, la toxicidad de los minerales que se a\u00f1aden de manera artificial, podemos entender por qu\u00e9 puede ser un veneno. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Otro punto a tener en cuenta es que&nbsp;a la sal se le a\u00f1aden una serie de conservantes que no es obligatorio que figuren en el envase. Estos conservantes son una gran cantidad de \u00abE\u00bb y tambi\u00e9n carbonato de calcio o carbonato calcico, carbonato de magnesio e hidr\u00f3xido de aluminio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Son conocidos los efectos negativos de la sal de mesa refinada para el ser humano.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\"><strong>La hipertensi\u00f3n, la retenci\u00f3n de l\u00edquidos o enfermedades relacionadas con el funcionamiento del coraz\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;tienen en muchos casos el uso (o abuso) de este tipo de sal como una de las principales causas de su aparici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">La sal de mesa se compone principalmente de cloruro de sodio lo que hace que&nbsp;<strong>nuestro cuerpo se sobrecargue y deje en nuestro organismo lo que se conoce como \u201cresiduo seco\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;que no es m\u00e1s que un exceso de esta sustancia en las distintas partes de nuestro cuerpo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-secondary-color has-text-color\"><strong><em>5 gramos de sal equivalen a 2 gramos de sodio y 3 gramos de cloro.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Para darle una idea, una cucharadita llena contiene aproximadamente 2.3 gramos de sodio o aproximadamente 6 gramos de sal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">&nbsp;El sodio ayuda a controlar el volumen de agua corporal y participa en cientos de funciones fisiol\u00f3gicas. La deficiencia de sodio en la sangre, llamada hiponatremia, est\u00e1 relacionada con diversos s\u00edntomas, como n\u00e1useas, dolor de cabeza, postraci\u00f3n y en casos graves, convulsiones y coma debido al edema del cerebro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Cuando hay exceso de sodio en el torrente sangu\u00edneo, hay un incentivo para aumentar la cantidad de agua dentro de los vasos sangu\u00edneos. Con un mayor volumen de sangre fluyendo a trav\u00e9s de los vasos sangu\u00edneos, aumenta la presi\u00f3n arterial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">El aumento cr\u00f3nico de la presi\u00f3n arterial provoca lesiones en las paredes de los vasos sangu\u00edneos, especialmente las de calibre peque\u00f1o.
