Consisten en intercalar periodos de alta intensidad con otros periodos de descanso completo o activo (de intensidad muy baja).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">La gran ventaja de este tipo de ejercicios es que se requiere poco tiempo para practicarlos. Tampoco es necesario hacerlos m\u00e1s de dos o tres veces por semana. A pesar de esto, se ha demostrado que&nbsp;<strong>son muy efectivos no solo para perder peso<\/strong>, sino tambi\u00e9n para&nbsp;<strong>prevenir enfermedades cardiovaculares<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Los HIIT son ideales para aquellas personas que disponen de muy poco tiempo libre para entrenar. Con estos ejercicios podr\u00e1n quemar un gran n\u00famero de calor\u00edas en un espacio de tiempo muy peque\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Antes de comenzar el entrenamiento, es muy importante conocer la frecuencia card\u00edaca, verificar las pulsaciones normales, para alcanzar as\u00ed el 90% de la misma. El cardio HIIT&nbsp;se compone principalmente de un calentamiento a base de trote y series de sprints que compaginan con todo tipo de ritmos.&nbsp;Las pulsaciones deben mantenerse estables durante la rutina, variando desde un 50% a un 75%, se debe parar en caso de bradicardia sinusal (55 latidos por minuto es peligroso) o estado taquicardico. Adem\u00e1s, los expertos recomiendan incluir un trabajo de pesas semanal, para quemar el exceso de grasas sin focalizar el esfuerzo en el cardio HIIT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 beneficios tiene el HIIT?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">El HIIT, activa la creaci\u00f3n de mitocondrias y por ende mejora el uso de la glucosa. Asimismo,&nbsp;mejora el VO2 m\u00e1x,&nbsp;es decir, la cantidad m\u00e1xima de ox\u00edgeno (O2) que el organismo puede absorber, transportar y consumir en un tiempo determinado.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Seg\u00fan,  un estudio publicado en <strong>Exercise and Sport Science Review<\/strong> el HIIT es una estrategia potente en tiempo y eficiencia para inducir numerosas adaptaciones metab\u00f3licas generalmente asociados con el entrenamiento de resistencia tradicional.
