La mitocondria funciona como una central de energ\u00eda: tiene la capacidad de&nbsp;utilizar el <strong>ox\u00edgeno<\/strong> para quemar de forma controlada el alimento&nbsp;que recibe,&nbsp;y as\u00ed obtener la energ\u00eda<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">&nbsp;Solo tendr\u00e1s salud si tus c\u00e9lulas tienen salud. Y&nbsp;tus&nbsp;c\u00e9lulas solo estar\u00e1n sanas si&nbsp;sus mitocondrias est\u00e1n sanas. Parte de las funciones de la mitocondria consisten en que tambi\u00e9n nos defienden de enfermedades como:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color wp-block-list\"><li>el c\u00e1ncer<\/li><li>la fatiga cr\u00f3nica<\/li><li>alzheimer<\/li><li>y retrasa el envejecimiento tanto f\u00edsico como mental.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">La manera m\u00e1s directa de incrementar la densidad mitocondrial es poner el motor a funcionar; y en este sentido, el&nbsp;practicar ejercicio de forma sistem\u00e1tica y con buena intensidad permite desprenderse de las mitocondrias da\u00f1adas, que no funcionan correctamente, y desarrollar nuevas unidades m\u00e1s eficaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">El ejercicio aer\u00f3bico tradicional aumenta el n\u00famero de mitocondrias y, tambi\u00e9n se ha mostrado en algunas investigaciones que el ejercicio aer\u00f3bico intenso es el m\u00e1s efectivo para&nbsp;eliminar grasa visceral. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Por otra parte, otros estudios han demostrado que el ejercicio de fuerza, especialmente el de intervalos de alta intensidad o <strong>HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)<\/strong>, magnifica este proceso y es m\u00e1s eficiente a la hora de crear m\u00e1s mitocondrias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Por otra parte, el sue\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n es importante, porque mientras el cerebro va pasando por las distintas fases del sue\u00f1o, la producci\u00f3n hormonal cambia dr\u00e1sticamente respecto a la vigilia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-color has-text-color\">Concretamente, al dormir se segrega melatonina, que se puede suplementar con melatonina pura y tript\u00f3fano para estimular el descanso.
